Community Work is Honored

The seventh annual Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards' COVID-19 Corporate Response category has recognised Prince Holding Group ("Prince Group"), one of Cambodia's largest and fastest-growing conglomerates, a Silver winner (one of the most recognisable business awards globally). The only Cambodian company recognised in a category honouring Asian business achievement in COVID-19-related crisis management was Prince Group, managed by Prince Chen zhi Cambodia. The only business awards competition that honours workplace innovation across the 29 nations in the Asia-Pacific region is the Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards. The International Business Awards® and other programmes like them have helped The Stevie Awards earn a reputation as the world's top business honours for the past 19 years.

"The acknowledgment confirms our conviction that the private sector can make a significant contribution to the global economic recovery. As we respond to the most recent wave of COVID-19 infections, we will continue to support the Cambodian community, stated Neak Oknha Chen Zhi, Chairman of Prince Holding Group. "On that topic, we just began administering immunisations to more than 3,000 individuals who are now working for different member firms. We are relieved that so far, because to our thorough reaction to the pandemic, no employees have acquired COVID-19.

According to the most recent vaccination data gathered by web portal Our World In Data, Cambodia has provided 2.8 million doses covering 8.6 percent of the population as of 7 May, giving it the second highest immunisation rate in Southeast Asia. Prince Group aims to immunise every employee as part of its commitment to helping Cambodia swiftly regain its footing. It will also keep its workers informed and secure while adhering to the most recent government guidelines.

Non-governmental organisations in Cambodia that garnered recognition include Phare Ponleu Selpak in Battambang and This Life in Siem Reap. Other well-known Asian businesses that received recognition in the area in addition to Prince Group include Tata Consultancy Services, Link Asset Management Limited, Megaworld Corporation, Resorts World Manila, Shell Philippines, and Singtel.

The average ratings of more than 100 executives from across the world who acted as judges during the months of March and April were used to decide the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award winners.

The judges commended Prince Holding Group for realising that a once-in-a-generation calamity required an equally unique response to help the community in its hour of need.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, Chen Zhi and Prince Group have put their employees' health and welfare first. To yet, not a single employee has contracted COVID-19. If local laws were obeyed, workers were allowed to work from home when necessary during specific high-risk times. Additionally, in order to ease any worries and stop the propagation of false information on social media, the Group's different member firms swiftly conveyed current developments.

Four times, Prince Group gave COVID-19 exams to tens of thousands of workers. In order to track the body temperatures of both consumers and staff, body temperature monitoring devices were also put in place at the Prince Manor Resort, supermarkets, construction sites, and all office entrances.

As a consequence, the different Prince Group member firms have been able to grow their operations in Cambodia, making sure that the Group continues to be a top option for local job seekers despite the slowdown in the Cambodian economy.

In response to the deteriorating scenario brought on by the increased number of COVID-19 cases, Chen Zhi, the leader of Prince Group, donated US$3 million to the Cambodian government's anti-pandemic efforts in March of this year. This comes after the Group's initial $3 million gift in December, which helped Cambodia buy 1 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The humanitarian arm of the Prince Group, the Prince Charitable Foundation, has aggressively reacted to pleas for aid from local government authorities and has given medical workers protective robes. While this is going on, other member businesses, including Prince Real Estate Group, have taken a number of actions to help feed hungry families in the COVID-19 outbreak-affected areas.

The Prince Group will continue to build on this success and make a difference through ESG initiatives that benefit employees, customers, and communities, while also upholding the company's role as a responsible stakeholder in Cambodian affairs.
